A chartered accountant, currently working as Group Finance Director for Frontier Agriculture Ltd, the UK’s leading crop inputs and grain marketing business.

Educated in Rutland from the age of 8 to 18, at RAF Cottesmore Primary School, Vale of Catmose College, Oakham and then Rutland Sixth Form College, Oakham. I then read mathematics at the University of Bristol, before qualifying as a chartered accountant with Deloitte & Touche (now Deloitte).

I returned to Rutland in 2004, when my husband and I moved to Barrowden and we have been Barrowden residents ever since. Our sons, William and Oliver were born in 2006 and 2008 respectively.

An active member of the local community, I have held the following roles:

• Treasurer for the Barrowden & Wakerley Toddler Group
• Treasurer for the North Luffenham Pre-School Committee
• Treasurer for the North Luffenham Parents and Friends Association
• Member of the Barrowden & Wakerley Community Shop, also providing financial guidance to the Board of Directors
• Rutland County Councillor for the Ketton Ward from 2015 to 2017
